40% of Business Aircraft may not meet the ADS-B Mandate
At the Corporate Jet Investor conference, Duncan Aviation president Aaron Hilkeman said forty percent of the U.S. business aircraft fleet would not meet the Jan. 1, 2020 deadline for ADS-B Out. The FAA has a path for operators who have a first- or second-generation GPS receiver to buy time (up to five more years) to replace the old positioning source with a new positioning source. It’s Exemption 12555. Read more here…
