Approximately 100,000 to 160,000 aircraft will need to equip with ADS-B Out no later than December 31, 2019. As of April 1, 2018, only 47,122 aircraft were transmitting a good ADS-B Out signal. That is less than half of all US aircraft with less than 21 months remaining.
